I just received a walnut cheek piece for a No4 Mk1 project I'm working on. It is nice, already finished, but it does rock a bit so some sanding is required. There were no screws included. Are they typically brass? Thanks.

Wow. That was no easy fit. Had a really big "rock" to it. Fits good now! I'll run to the hardware store when I here back about screw choice.

I have brass screws for the cheek risers that were included when I ordered out of Britain a few years ago. Two different lengths of 1"-1 1/4".

Yes. The one I got from England for my sniper clone a few years back was a much better fit, only some minor sanding, and had two brass screws. This one was from Numrich in the US.

Agree! Been "ringed" before! It's buddy's sporter. He had a smithless mount from Sun Optics USA (that needed filing) a scope that needed shimming and a cheek piece that rocked like Metallica!! All good now, hopefully. Still freaking cold here so might be a week or so before I get to the range. Ice fishing tomorrow!

We have an "Auto Jigger" invented in Manitoba Canada. Not the most refined, but you put your small ice fishing rod in a holder, the machine is about the size of a 24 of PBR. Battery operated. Up, down. Eats battery power like crazy, (cold, under designed) but catches Walleyes! Jig and a minnow.packed the cast iron pan and butter. Should be eating good. Only -15C forecast.
