Hey Hatch...and all other Aussies. In the time I have lived here in Western NY State, I have always known it gets pretty chilly....I knew that 32F is 0c...the freeze point, but never worried about just how cold it got. I just went out the back to play with the dog...felt a little cold, checked the temp....sitting at a balmy 12f...went inside, converted it....
- 17c.....OK...its not even Winter yet, just wait for February Hatch!!

Ah upstate New York land of -40 (same in C and F btw) days.
I used to live on Long Island  I remember one morning they announced it was -28 F and that Long Island Sound had a  film of Ice across it, which for  a body of salt water 25 miles wide and  100+ miles long is a feat. So nice to live in Texas we had a high of 60 F  (19 C) today and I was such nice shooting weather.  But we do have a summer when I was in Grad school here I had a friend from Kenya who complained about the heat, LOL.
Have a Nice Day
If already having a nice day please disregard

Wow...

I think I better get some serious cold weather gear when I first fly into Vancouver at the start of my trip.

The day before flying out I will be at the Big Day Out music festival in what will probably be 35 degree plus temperatures... sounds like fun Wink
But the winters coming,

And the snow will cover tracks,

And I'll be watching,

Because I'm hunting you

Get yourself a duvet jacket and some salopettes similar to the ski wear . It's light and warm but you'll look like a michelin man. Better than freezing your nutz off though.

Sounds like I will have fun with you blokes, I will probably be over the snow at the end of my trip though.

I remember when I went to Canada with my family about 10 years ago we got there during spring and the temperature would have been around the 5 degree mark and there was us four Aussies walking round wearing massive amounts of cold weather gear, and the locals were in t-shirts.
But the winters coming,

And the snow will cover tracks,

And I'll be watching,

Because I'm hunting you

When I lived near Hammondsport there were 2 seasons.
Winter & July.

Then I moved to near Buffalo, & the seasons were different.
Winter & July 4th.Ermm

We have had our first cold spell we get two to three a year. It was 14 degrees F last night and in the mid 20's all day. Two days ago it was 75F and looks like next week we will be warmed back up.
