Thank you very much.
I feel very welcome here. Everyone is very polite and supportive. Unlike many online forums, there is an air of fraternity here that makes one feel at ease.
About Me:
My name is Craig Marshall, but my friends and fans call me "Chachie". I am 23 years old. I live in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, in the United States. (The area of surrounding states is called "New England".) I am currently working as a Land Surveyor, by day. I play bass guitar in a band, by night.
I've always been interested in all things British Empire. That is why I fell in love with the Enfield MkIII. The moment is set eyes upon it, I knew I had to buy it.
And I did....
Thank you again.

Mass firearms laws are ok....
FID required to own/purchase Low Cap. shotguns/rifles. 18yo Class B " " High Cap. shotgun/rifles and low cap pistols. 21yo. Class A " " High Cap. handguns and concealed carry. 12yo. All licenses are $100. $50 to the state, and $50 to some trust fund for victims of firearms violence or something. Also all require attendance to a 5-8 hour safety course. Which can cost anywhere from $50-100. Also, concealed carry only on hand guns. All rifles/shotguns must be locked in the home and locked and unloaded while carrying in a vehicle. I have a Class A LTC (license to carry). Some city's require a letter to the Chief of Police to obtain a LTC, explaining why you need to carry a handgun. Also, All handguns sold in Mass must pass a State safety test. The manufacturer must first provide the State with 10 handguns of the same model in order for the State to test their safety. This included: melting test, bending test, a few drop test, etc. Basically this is to prevent the sale of "Saturday Night Specials" i.e. cheaply made handguns. In an effort to prevent handguns violence. So there aren't to many cheap handguns in Mass.... also a lot of other perfectly good handguns are off the market on account of the manufacturer not bothering to send 10 guns to the State. Basically there is a list of handguns. If a gun isn't on the list, the you can't buy it. A lot of Glocks aren't on the list. However handguns owned by Mass residents before the law was passed are ok to own and sell. Phew! I think thats it. There might be more. right now they are trying to ban "Military Style Weapons" (not assault weapons, which are already banned), cause some guy killed two people in New Bedford at a strip club with an AR-15. Then he killed himself. They are saying these weapons "put to much power in civilian hands". I guess it would be better if only the State had that kind of power, and not the people. I'll tell ya, I'm about ready to head off to the mountains. |

Ok I know that a lot of the New England states have some very severe gun laws as compared to the south and mountian states.
