I am restoring a couple of No1 Mk1 Enfields and need some parts.

I would like to find an early nose cap or wishfully more than one, some SMLE Mk1 rear handgaurds and any early leaf sights. The ones with the bone inlay pieces particularly. I have some CLLE and 1905 Mk1s that need to be restored.

Will pay for any material, shipping, your time and all parts quickly.

Paul

Paul there’s actually no such rifle as No1 MkI. In 1926 the SMLE became Rifle No1. By then the Mk1 was obsolete and remained as  Sht.LE Mk1. Only rifles still in service were subject to the change in nomenclature.

Thanks for the updated info Homer. My dad and I have always thought these ladies were called (No1 Mk1).

It’s a very common misunderstanding mate.
