It was a great experiment..but I think what ultimately ruined it, was the unbridled immigration situation.

I read somewhere that the Scots wanted to stay in by a 2/3 majority so I expect they'll try for independence then rejoin.

It was a very close vote really. Many of my friends with university/school leaving age children are worried for their future. But we did okay before the EU (common Market) was dreamed up and will do again. Are they really saying that the likes of BMW won't want to sell to us?

  As Pedro says there may be a few "wobbles" until things get sorted but it will be interesting to watch the EU and see how they cope. Several other countries have started shouting for a referendum now including France it may happen I'm not sure. What I do want to see is the money saved used responsibly and ploughed into education, the National Health, manufacturing and the armed forces. Plus strengthening our ties with New Zealand, Canada and Australia. Donald Trump is visiting his golf club in scotland maybe we could kidnap him and shove him into parliament I know he's not liked by many but at least he says what he thinks and I believe he's reasonably honest, (waiting for the howls of protest from our US friends).  Camoron has resigned (chucked his toys out the pram) and Corbyn is facing a vote of no confidence so it could be a clean sweep within westminster and a lot of political infighting. The politicians need to see we want honesty and transparency from somebody who has the welfare of the indiginous Brit population at heart before the lid blows off and tears the country apart. The Eu and its members can't or wont understand that the indigious Brit population are relativly easy going BUT push too far and the fuse lights. The eu leaders have had a meeting and basicly said they want us out ASAP, my opinion is the sooner the better

I think that UK should take a good many legal immigrants in and be thankful. The Empire was built off the sweat of it's subjects in the colonies. A hundred years ago one in every five people on the planet was under the rule of the Empire. The same people that came to the aid of Europe in the 40's.

A lot of the same trouble here. People can't cant find a G.P. family doctor.(I'm lucky I have a good one).
My Dr would like to retire..but theres nobody to take his place. His daughter was going to be a Dr. but she missed the cut on her final marks by 2%. 2%!!, but they LOWERED the mark standard for immigrant wanna-be Drs by 5%!
So - we are flooded with Asian Drs that can't speak English, & don't/won't make the commitment the older Drs always do / did.

Doc tried to bring in new Drs to try & off-load some of his patient load..but EVERY applicant was from Pakistan, & difficult to understand.

The Liberal gov't is always trying to defend it's cuts to health care funding, saying its becoming more efficient. HORSE-HOCKEY!!

Papers reveal a Pakistani Dr.(?) in the Toronto area - a G.P at that - that raked in over 6 MILLION $$ last year, on a 5 day week, 9 - 5. (This clown charges $35.00 to WRITE a Rx, over & above his Gov't billing.So the patient has to fork-out $35.00 plus the cost of the RX.!)

Its crappy thinking like this that gets my goat (& a few other choice parts!! )
