i had one of those once a long time ago , was a really fun revolver and the S&Ws were really well made , it once wore a very nice finish as well ,

Very nice!  

I used to have a Colt New Service Canadian issue in .455 Eley that post war had it's chambers reamed out to .45LC.   Fun for a while but I traded for a Colt 1917 in .45ACP.
