Santa Fe Carbine rear sight help!

Ok, stop laughing! it only cost a couple hundred bucks. But... Im sure someone has ran into the sight issue on these things!when i got it, it was just flippin and a floppin. Took the bolt out cause someone had the head one turn loose and when i did the sight hit the floor and now all i have is that and a brass washer i stole from a safety assembly. No screw. (unique and hard to find! screw) it has another small hole in front of the one for the attaching screw and not sure what that is for?  I know that you guys know some Guinness that has a cure for this crap ass rear sight! Actually seems like a cool little gun and pretty sharp looking for what it is. They just cut a piece out the bridge and stuck a L shape chunk of steel with 2 holes drilled in there!! So it was a 1940 dated MKlll* and believe is an SSA, so that sucks. HELP ME, With a solid sight, should still be a fun shooter, has a great bore, RED 

yea, i saw the wave washer and lost that! dont think it even had a screw with it, know anyone or any where to find the correct screw? not a hardware store thing. Thanks

as you probably know these were made up by those at santa fe , they cut the charger bridge and mounted the rear sight from something else to the receiver there , so - not standard parts , your best bet will be a good hardware store and some trial and error fitting up ,there are no original standard bits for these ,

The screw problem has been fixed and I cupped a thin brass washer to tighten it up. But I dont agree with it being a sear screw. and they should have just used a mk 2 sight but they did not, mine and the others i have seen are the same aftermarket looking steel dual aperture sight. The one i have someone cut one right through the center of the hole making it a make shift notch style? Thing is there is no kind of stop for the 2 positions so just kinda making it tight as possible. Was just hoping someone would have brainstormed a good positive holding and good lookin sight for these? DO they make a nice Redfield or Lyman that will work? since i dont have to worry about originality, could only help! Thanks, RED  

Ok, after looking, like i should have done before i spoke! Brian, I believe is right about the screw? sure looks like the correct one? screw I'm using now i found is a sear screw from an old marlin rifle. Just hate to spend 10 bucks for it! MK2 sight would look a lot better but not sure about sight alignment (position) will work, seeing that the aperture hole would be setting lower.  believe that was the reason i haven't seen them used? But heck! I'm probably wrong about that too! RED
