So far I have made 3 shots, pretty easy shots at that and have not brought any meat home.

I really hate to say it but a scope would have made the difference. My eye sight is just not up to the task any moreOuch.
But I will be out this coming Monday afternoon with the open sighted Enfield sporter (beloved Crusty) one more time before I grab my scoped rifle to get the job done.

Ending here in the Northern half of the state the 31st of Jan. 2009 and in the southern half of the state feb. 15, 2009

Was cold and damp today hunting I got to try out my Christmas present to me from my children a pair of LaCrosse knee high hunting boots. They were warm and kept my feet very warm. I guess they should they are rated down to -120F
