REVIVAL TIME - i found the photos i was looking for of the various scabbards - thought it might be of interest to some that are collecting these to see them ,
far left is the mkI , the next is the metal tube mkII , the next is the plastic tube mkIII [i dont have photo of the canadian steel version of this one] and the right one is the Victory Plastics M5 scabbard , this is the original riveted version with the doubled web frog loop , there is a second that has alluded me so far which has a removable press stud frog with tripled webb , |

..& to think, the U.S. mentality of the day was: "Inferior equipment"
IMHO, aside from the fact that the Garand (designed by a French Cdn) was semi auto - it wasn't the battle rifle the L/E was. (Neither was the B.A.R. compared to the Bren) |

..Paddy - you really do have a problem with reality after all...I mean they told me you did..but I didn't believe it.I do now!
As for US beer..can't argue there...cuz its like making love in a canoe...FU*KI%G near water!!(& that's usually pleasureable..well, as I recall, anyway)

Tip a canoe with Hoadie and his girl friend too. I do not have a problem with reality,my reality is just fine. Everyone elses reality is just a bit off or strange. |
