The one I did was a #4 so I used the flat one, SM-71. The SM-70 can be had with a shim pack to fit the SMLE reciever. I'd just call Williams and order direct, they'll ship the shim pack at no additional charge IIRC.

.......as I can't seem to find the mounts that I like I've decide to stay with open sights for this one ( more traditional anyway     )
Now my question becomes.....whats the best sight, preferably express style, for this project ??
My thoughts are a single standing leaf with no more than two flip up leaves as I would not like to shoot more than 250 metres with this calibre....or my eyes!

This is a side mount on a local rifle but NZ$300 is just US$194
