.. when someone supplies a blank I can’t guarantee the stock as far as natural voids that may occur in the wood .. something like this is roughly 1600$

There is a gent who goes by the handle of Von Gruff. He is an accomplished knife maker who also creates sporting rifles in the Lee Speed style.
He documented his progress making a Lee Speed clone, he took pics. This might give you an idea of the work and hours involved.
