Pat if your asking about the Remington 1903a4 that is a factory weaver m73b1 (weaver Civilian 330C)
It’s is way inferior to the English scopes it’s only a 3/4” tube 2-1/2 power and they were not robust at all

Thanks! I ask as I have a similar looking scope (Malcolm) on a No 1 repo sniper rifle that is side mounted.

The M82 (Lyman Alaskan) was a bit better (7/8 inch tube), also used on the M1 and 1903/a4.  I have a Malcom M82 repro on my 1903a3 and optics are pretty good.

Geoff I found out my M73b1 was broken when I got it . And I can get it to zero anymore so to help my self and allow me to shoot it I found a older open top 4 in M84  Rudolf Wendel as the manufacturer. All those who own M84 sniper telescopes should check the data plates for the open top 4 in M84 to see if they're the owner of a rare Rudolf Wendel M84 telescope.

With the 7/8” tube it allows a little better light gathering although I don’t think it is as good as my British Mark II scope with it being 1” it gathers even more light.
