Wow Was just at prestigious site, the layout has changed and they`ve increased their pricing quite a bit, in some cases by almost $200Cnd.
They`ll be pricing themselves out of business.
Used to be an affordable alternative to good original wood, but now original seems cheaper than their stuff.
This game is becoming unaffordable for the average work-a-day Joe.

Gossic, I have an acquaintance who`s a collector of all things Canadian Militaria, huge collection of enfields, sniders. martini`s, parts, bits and bobs, he could open a store. Will he share with spares, nope. So yep the enfield hoarders are out there, and effectivly make the stuff scarce and expensive.
There used to be soooo much enfield stuff here in Canada, and not that long ago, not so much anymore.

Yup. I just now left their sight. Expensive for sure. Also the added cost of shipping and time to the U.S.

I know quite a few hoarders here as well. I know a gut that has literally 100's of M1 Garands and many thousands of NOS spare parts for them. He won't sell any of it and he is in his 80's

Taking this thread a bit off tangent here but. I have a Marlin 39A Centennial Model 22LR.  I have had it for years now and shoot it every now and then when the feeling hits me. It maybe has had a brick of 22 shorts through it to date but, either way,  I am considering doing a mummy wrap on it now because the last 39A I saw on Gunbroker sold for $1150.00 USD and the buttstock was cracked. Mine is scoped with a Parker Hale 3-9×32 so maybe sell the whole thing for what $1450.00 because my stock is not cracked and has a cool scope with a panoramic view?

As I`m continually looking for parts I`ve not seen any, anywhere, besides DP stock which may be your only option at this point for original wood.
The only other viable option is new reproduction.
The old parts are rapidly disappearing. Like yourself its becoming ever increasingly difficult for the average joe to repair or restore these old rifles.
I have a reproduction top set, hand guards if interested.

Yup. Going to keep looking for options. Hopefully something will pop up.

Thanks for the offer. I am going to wait on the hand guards until after I procure a forend. Want them to kind of match as close as possible.

Ok, at this point I may just get a cheap cut down sporterized forend to get it shooting until I find a good one. Anybody have one of those laying around for sale?

That's an interesting option. Thanks.

I am currently watching an original sporterized wood stock.
