I suspect it was a while ago then.  I saw a pic of one of the rifles with the serial posted on another enfield forum 10+ years ago (Lance was also participating in the discussion) and it appeared to be the same person that sold them to me.

9077 arrived yesterday and I took it to the range.  It seems to like PPU 180gr SP ammo.  That was me shooting a 5 round group seated at about 75yds from the target.  The rifle looks brand new.
