In the UK the problem seems to me that the lack of moral fibre has stemmed from the 70's "do good" society, don't punish the children, don't punish the poor unfortunate criminals, don't allow schools to correct wayward behaviour and catch it early. So slowly the whole population is getting polluted by unruly under educated people who only know how to shag and have more uneducated babies on benefit; it's viral ! When you get a few generations into it there's really not much hope.
I must say that in France it is not as bad as the UK yet; certain communities and areas have problems but it's not nationwide. But France only stopped National service in the 90's. so there is still a reasonably young generation with a reasonable education and ethic. But it is changing.

We still had corporal punishment when I finished school in the late 80's. Just talking to a teacher disrespectfully could result in 6 of the best. Smoking got you 3 days of 6. It was abolished in the 90's. Now we are having pupils stabbing, shooting and murdering each other, hard drugs and kids beating up teachers.

Sounds just like the UK. Benifits Britain with the attitude "why should I work the state can keep me?". I'm lucky both my kids work hard and have never been in trouble,they wouldn't dare. The lad is 24 and daughter is 21, I was and still am a single parent but never had to raise a hand to them in anger. Working with disabled and mentally handicapped people has been a great eye opener for me, the parents of a lot of the youngsters don't work when the kids are at the day centers because the state handouts for the kids keep them all in luxury. In effect the kids are "cash cows" for the parents and families, with free cars which are supposed to be used for transporting the kids but usually end up being the family transport and thats just the tip of the iceberg. The "old farts" must be spinning in their graves wondering why they made the ultimate sacrifice for a bunch of useless scum who have sod all respect for anyone. The politicians are a waste of space all they do is vote themselves pay increases, they've just had a £7k pay rise which equates to around 10% of their wages whilst we can't get a misreable 2% increase after 4 years of "austerity" with no pay rise.

When I see whats going on in Syria and Iraq, it concerns that the rest of the world doesn't really seem to be doing much. If they take Syria, then Turkey will be next and that's the back door into Europe! And who'll be there to stop them when there knocking on the door in 5 years time?

It's a worrying thought, I don't think most of todays youngsters have the grit to stand up and be counted and in "dads army" the ranks are thinning awful fast. |

Its the classic pattern of asymmetric warfare. A tried & true Terrorist technique. It works like this.
Speaker for "The peoples Terr group" uses 3 people, (lights, camera, action), to say: "DURKA! DURKA! Death to Amerika"! on a video which is mailed to the media. They smell "if it bleeds it leads" & run it unsubstantiated. 10,000 people PANIC! Somewhere in country (U) a disgruntled butthead who happens to be a follower (But may no have any connection with them.) Posts a social media page claiming: "DURKA! DURKA! Death to Amerika! I am a soldier of "The peoples Terr group" The media runs this as well, but claims its part of an international terror cell. 100,000 people PANIC! Then some doped up twat from A$$crakistan actually beats up his wife or something, claiming, you guessed it! "DURKA! DURKA! Death to Amerika I am that soldier of "The peoples Terr group" 1,00,000 people PANIC! Finally the one actual only 1/2 arsed terr of the lot of them manages to blow something up (usually with varying degrees of success). 1,000,000 people PANIC! That's how less than 50 people total, many of whom don't know each other, panic a million Americans. I saw one of those little "Memes" (a billydoux with a picture) on Social Media the other day. It was a quote from some ISIS "spokesperson" claiming 173 "soldiers of Allah were in America ready to wage Jihad". The reply was classic: "We have 100,000 pissed off Americans with guns just waiting on you, Your move, sparky!"  |

i agree shamu , its an exponentialy escalating panic caused by the media - we are witnessing it today here with regard to police brutality - its overblown and driven by the media stories , many of which can be debunked and prooved false as well as cleared in court , bottom line is DO NOT COMMIT THE CRIMES ..........

Oh they're here, no doubt about it.
There's an enclave in a small town in upstate NY where the locals are afraid to walk on the streets because of the Hajiis acting out in town & you hear fully automatic fire from behind the walls regularly! They are followers if not members as such. So far they've been pretty much ho hum in the attempts, things lime the shoe bomber & the guy with flaming underwear being prize examples. Then someone gets lucky like the Boston Marathon group. Fortunately they fail more than they succeed. |
