-7C here in Surrey, BC. Overnight temps dropped to -10C and the wind chill makes things much worse. The farmer's almanac predicts much colder temps this season but drier at the same time.

You have no idea how pleasent it is to know that Fort Worth has the same temperature as British Columbia.  May you never experience one of our Summer highs. How does 42C/111F grab you?

My brother-in-law lives in Albuquerque, NM. I visited them there a couple summers ago and yes, those lofty highs make one wish for colder temps. It was so hot the pavement melted and staying indoors with an air-con is the only way to go. Been to Florida too, it was so hot it was unreal! Once in a while it gets to 41+C in the lower central regions of BC, a dry heat but once again, a person has to be so careful as to not get heat stroke. Gee...all this talk about oppressive heat makes me want to go outside and enjoy the arctic out-flow we are experiencing today! LOL.

My sympathies, I prefer snow to freezing rain. We had two inches of sleet.  I really wish the powers that be here would do something more than hope it melts soon. Oh they do spread a little sand on the roads.  Salt is evil and might rust their precious cars.

We got 6" of snow, then the switch to freezing rain started. This is going to be interesting.

Fortunately we have a seasoned pork roast in the oven, 2 gallons of wine & cases of toilet paper so we're GTG!Wink

Do not forget to cover your "moon".

Nothing worse than a upset Hoadie with a sun burnt "Moon".

Shamu,

When are the roads going to clear? Sounds like you will be stuck in for a wee bit.
